Police on Thursday morning recovered the body of a young girl at Dhanisafa village in Mathbaria upazila, reports UNB.
Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Locals spotted the body of the girl, aged around 20, in a ditch at the village and informed police.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Pirojpur hospital morgue for autopsy.
Seeing the marks on the body and blood coming out from the mouth, police suspected that the girl was killed by strangulation.
