Miscreants torched an idol of a Hindu Goddess in a temple at Chapair village in Kaliakoir upazila on Monday night.
Locals said some unidentified criminals entered the 50-year old temple at night and set fire to the idol. The cloths and accessories of the idol were gutted. On information, police visited the spot.
