A gang of armed criminals shot and hacked a Dhaka College student and snatched his motorbike from Mohakhali area in the city Thursday morning.
The victim, Abdur Rob, 27, was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) with several injuries.
DMCH sources said he received two bullet-wounds in his legs.
“I came under attack around 6am on my way to Uttara. A white car carrying four muggers intercepted me under the Mohakhali flyover,” Abdur Rob said.
“The criminals opened fire on me and hacked me as I denied giving them my motorbike. At one stage, they left the place with my bike. Later, locals admitted me to DMCH”, added Rob.
