Police arrested another accused Md Harun, 42, in the mother-daughter rape case in Noakhali's Subarnachar, from Dhaka.
He was absconding since the incident.
Noakhali Superintendent of Police Md Asaduzzaman confirmed the arrest on Thursday afternoon.
He said: “A team of district detective branch police arrested him from Gabtoli in Dhaka on Wednesday night with the help of secret information and information technology. All the three accused in this case have been arrested.”
Earlier, the main accused in the rape case, expelled Awami League leader Abul Khair Munshi, 67, and his associate Md Mehraj, 48, were arrested by the police.
Among them, Mehraj admitted his fault, giving statement in the court. The court granted four-day remand to Munshi.
A woman and her underaged daughter have been raped by a three-member thief gang in Subarnachar upazila in Noakhali.
The incident took place in Charkaji Mokhles village around 2am on Tuesday.
