A housewife was strangled to death allegedly by her husband at Adabaria village in Daulatpur upazila on Tuesday.
The deceased was Safatunnesa Safa, 55, wife of Abdul Jabbar, reports UNB.
Villagers said Jabbar picked up quarrel with Safa over trivial matters and tortured her regularly.
On the night, Jabbar strangled Safa to death and dumped her body in a bamboo bush.
Neighbours recovered her body and informed police, who sent it for autopsy.
Police also arrested Jabbar.
A case was filed in connection.
