A college student died in a clash between two local groups centring a long standing land dispute in Chanpur village, Lakhai upazila, Habiganj yesterday.
The deceased Anucharan Das, 22, was a student of class twelve of Shachindra College in Baniachang upazila of the district. Besides, at least 10 people were injured during the clash and admitted to Habiganj Sadar Modern Hospital, according to banglanews.

Lal Das had a long-term dispute over a piece of land with Anil Das in the village. Prohor’s son Anucharan died in the clash.
On information, police rushed to the spot and took control of the situation.
The body was sent to Habiganj Sadar Modern Hospital morgue for post mortem examination.
The OC said police would soon start taking steps to arrest the criminals involved in the killing.
