ACC seeks wealth information of 5 PWD engineers, 4 others

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has issued a notice seeking wealth statements from five engineers of the Public Works Department (PWD) and the spouses of four of them.
ACC Director Syed Iqbal Hossain has issued separate notices in this regard, Shafi Ullah, assistant director of ACC, told Dhaka Tribune on Wednesday.
The individuals are the Deputy Assistant Engineer Mizanur Rahman Pradhan and his spouse Nasrin Rahman, Deputy Assistant Engineer (Civil) Mohammad Ataur Rahman, and his wife Sadia Afrin, Mohammad Nawshad Haque and his wife Saleha Begum, Aminul Islam and his wife Kalpana Akhtar and Humayun Kabir.
The notice sought statements on their immovable or movable properties acquired in their own names and in the names of their dependents. The statements will have to be submitted to the ACC within 21 working days of the notice being received.
The notice further said if they failed to submit the statements of assets within the stipulated time or submit a false statement, action would be taken against them as per the ACC Act.
