ACC summons Ideal School principal for amassing illegal wealth

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has summoned Shahanara Begum, the principal of Ideal School and College’s Banasree branch, on allegations of amassing illegal wealth.
A notice issued on Monday signed by ACC Assistant Director Ataur Rahman Sarkar asks her to appear before the commission integrated district office-1 on November 15 and explain her stance.
There is an allegation of acquiring illegal wealth and embezzlement of hundreds of crores of Taka against her. The notice further said that if she failed to appear on due time, it would be deemed that she had no statement on the matter.
On August 29, the commission decided to investigate the allegations of illegal acquisition of wealth through various irregularities and corruption, including admission manipulation.
