Members of the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) seized 10 gold bars worth Tk1 crore at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) on Monday.
Mohammad Ziaul Haque, additional superintendent of Airport Armed Police Battalion police, said that two suspicious objects wrapped in the black scotch tape were found inside a dustbin near the No 5 baggage belt area of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport this noon.
"Later we found 10 gold bars from there weighing 1.160 kg," he added.
The seized gold bars were deposited in the customs warehouse, the ASP said.
