Junaid Al Habib, Hefazat-e-Islam joint secretary and Dhaka city unit president, was released on Sunday from Kashimpur jail after securing bail.
His bail papers reached the jail on Saturday, said Jailer Md Lutfar Rahman of Kashimpur Central Jail.
He was accused in 20 cases including vandalism, arson attacks during blockade on May 5, 2013.
Besides, there were eight warrants against him to appear before court.
Recently, he secured bail in three cases filed with Hathazari police station.
Police arrested Junaid from Jamia Madania Madrasa in Baridhara of the capital on April 17, 2021.
He was in Kashimpur jail since July 11, 2021.
