Bullet-riddled bodies of SI, wife found at Mirpur flat

The bullet-riddled bodies of a sub-inspector and another woman have been found inside a flat at Rupnagar in Mirpur of Dhaka on Saturday evening. The deceased are Abdus Sattar, 35, sub-inspector of Badda police station, and his wife Shampa, 32. "Sattar might have shot Shampa to death and killed himself with his licensed arms over a possible family feud between them," said Md Yusuf Ali, additional deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Yusuf quoted Sattar’s neighbours as saying that they heard sounds of gunfire twice from the flat around 5pm. Meanwhile, high officials of the DMP visited the spot, and the bodied were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
