Police have arrested a local leader of Islami Chhatri Sangstha from Boda upazila of Panchagarh district. Tahira Akhter, 20, convener of the organisation's Boda upazila unit, was held from a photocopy shop at Boda bus stand on Thursday morning. Various Islamist documents and books were seized from her possession. Boda police station Officer-in-Charge AKM Nurul Islam said they had arrested Tahira on suspicion that she may have been planning subversive activities.
