Rafiqul Islam, owner of Jamuna Trading in Agrabad, Chittagong, said Aslam asked him for money on various pretexts and when Rafiqul refused, Aslam proceeded to harass him by filing false cases against him with false accusations.

Abdul Momin Putra Abdul Awal, an expatriate from Debrampur village in the upazila, said the OC assisted a local land robber Farooq Ahmed Sumon in grabbing 600 acres of land belonging to his father. Aslam even defied a court order that instructed him to release his hold over the land.

Saiful Ahmed Bhuiyan added that such allegations against the OC are currently being investigated.

When OC Aslam Sikder was asked about the allegations over the phone, he refused to comment on the matter.
