Drug peddler stabs four policemen in Thakurgaon

Four policemen have been injured in a knife attack by a drug peddler in Thakurgaon’s Baliadangi upazila. One of the injured policemen has been named as Sub-Inspector Golam Mortaza. Thakurgaon Superintendent of Police Farhat Ahmed said a police team, led by Mortaza, had raided Baliadangi’s West Sorolia village on Tuesday night to detain yaba dealer Raza. "The drug peddler attacked Mortaza with a knife and stabbed him in the face," the SP said, adding that Mortaza needed three stitches. "Three other policemen, accompanying Mortaza, got stabbed as they tried to save their colleague." The attacker was arrested shortly after the incident.
