A college teacher has been brutally hacked by miscreants while he was taking a morning walk near the under construction district jail in Pirojpur city’s bypass area.
Prof Shadananda Gaine, head of Pirojpur Government Suhrawardi College’s English department, is undergoing treatment at Khulna Medical College Hospital.
Pirojpur Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge Md Masumur Rahman Bisash said the incident took place around 5am Monday.
“We are trying to identify and catch the miscreants,” OC Masumur said.
Shadananda’s brother-in-law Swapno said his condition was stated to be critical.
