Two women found dead in Dhaka

Police have recovered the dead body of a housewife from a home in the city’s Lalbagh area. Nurunnahar Nuni, 25, a housewife, was found with her throat slit in her home in Lalbagh’s Shahidnagar around 8pm Wednesday, Lalbagh OC Paritosh Chakrabarty said. The woman lived with her husband and two children there, he said. The husband and the children are missing. “We suspect the man murdered his wife and ran away with the children,” the officer said. The body has been sent to Mitford Hospital for post mortem. Meanwhile, police in Khilkhet found a woman’s headless body stuffed in a sack just outside the boundary walls of the Shahjalal International Airport. Airport police station’s SI Abu Sayeed said the body was found around 4pm. He said police were trying to locate the head and identify the woman. The body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue.
