The Detective Branch (DB) of Police has arrested the district publicity secretary of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Mohishamura area of Sirajganj district.
Shafiul Islam alias Shafiqul, 60, was detained early on Thursday.
"Acting on a tip-off, we conducted a drive on the area and detained Shafiqul. He is an accused in violence case,” Sirajganj DB police OC Wahiduzzaman said.
