Police rescued a schoolboy and detained four suspected kidnappers on Saturday from Handur Bridge area at Farazikandain Bandar upazilaof Narayanganj district.
The detainees are Hridoy, 23, AbulHossain, 22, Rana, 22, and Abdul Hossen, 30, reports UNB.
According to Bandar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC)Ajaharul Islam, the suspects had abducted MehediHasan Siam, 15, son of Mamun Mia of Shahidnagar inSadar upazila, on Friday eveningwhen he was on his way toTamakpotti area from his house.
Theythen demandedTk 50,000 as ransom from the victim's mother, he added.
Later, the mother sent Tk15,000 through bKash, butthey demanded more and that is when theboy's parents informed the matter to the police.
Immediately, the police were able to locate the abductors through mobile tracking and detainthem, said the OC.
