Law enforcers have arrested a youth from Pirojpur allegedly for posting distorted photos of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad on Facebook.
Md Rubel, 26, son of Jamal Hossain, is a resident of Swarupkathi upazila’s Alankarkathi village. He was arrested from his house Monday night.
A case was filed against him under the Information and Communication Technology Act.
Police produced him before a court Tuesday, Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Swarupkathi police, told the Dhaka Tribune.
