9 suspected kidnappers held, victim rescued

Rapid Action Battalion has detained nine suspected members of a kidnapping gang with arms and ammunition from Agargaon area in Dhaka. The identities of the detainees could not be ascertained yet. RAB Legal and Media Wing’s Senior Assistant Director Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune on Tuesday morning. He said: “A team of RAB 2 conducted a drive in the area on Monday night and detained the nine members of a kidnapping gang. They also rescued a victim.”
