The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of police with 30,000 pieces of yaba tablets in Feni.
ASI Abul Bashar was detained from Chittagong highway's Baraiya Haat area around 8am on Saturday.
Feni RAB 7 Squadron Leader Fahim Ahmed said: "Abul had been smuggling yaba from Cox's Bazar to Dhaka with the help of his motorcycle which bears police sticker. We have confiscated his bike and a uniform of Sylhet range police from his bag.
"The confiscated items have been kept at RAB 7 Feni camp."
