APBn Inspector Ataur Rahman said they challenged the 73 defrauded people as they were about to board on a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines departing for Kenya at 6pm Friday, no sooner had their boarding pass was complete.
The victims were to travel to Kenya via Libya, but their visa duration was only for 10-12 days.
The flight has been cancelled and the detained people are being quizzed, according to the updates at Dhaka Tribune desk till 10:40pm.
