Rapid Action Battalion has detained six suspected members of a child trafficking gang, including its ring leader, from different areas of Dhaka and Narayanganj.
The identities of the detainees were not disclosed immediately.
RAB Media Wing Director Mufti Mahmud Khan said they suspects were detained in a day-long drive starting Wednesday.
“The detainees are also involved in kidnapping and murdering children,” he added.
Mahmud said they had rescued a trafficking victim during the drive.
Firearms, bullets and drugs were also recovered.
Details regarding the matter will be disclosed in a press briefing later in the day.
