2 army privates detained with 50,000 yaba pills

Police have arrested two army privates with 50,000 pieces of yaba tablets from Moizzertek area in Chittagong. The arrestees are Sihab Uddin, 38, and Shafiqul Islam, 28. They are posted at Chittagong Cantonment. Karnaphuli police station Officer-in-Charge Syedul Mostafa told the Dhaka Tribune that they were arresteed while returning to Chittagong from Cox’s Bazar. “Due to their suspicious movement, police searched them and found the yaba pills inside a bag,” he said adding that a case was filed under the Narcotics Control Act. He said the troopers will be handed over the army.
