The attackers were led allegedly by her former husband Sajib, son of Pinki Sabur, a former organising secretary of Sarankhola unit BNP. The injured were rushed to a local hospital in a critical state.The girl's father alleged: “They kidnapped my daughter after breaking open the door. When we tried to intercept them, they indiscriminately hacked us with sharp weapons.” Being informed, Sarankhola police visited the spot and detained two persons – Pinki Hotel Manager Shahabuddin and one Dalim – in Rayenda Launch Ghat area for quizzing, reports our sister concern Bangla Tribune. “Enraged as their marriage has recently fallen apart, Sajib swooped on her family and kidnapped her,” said Md Abdul Jalil, OC of Sarankhola police.Upazila Health Officer Dr Asim Kumar Samaddar said that there were several marks of hack wounds on their bodies, adding that they would be sent to Khulna for better treatment.The OC said that they were conducting drives to rescue the girl and arrest Sajib and his father.
