2 Rohingya held with yaba in Chittagong

Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) has arrested two Rohingya men from Chittagong city’s Firingi Bazar area for possessing yaba tablets. DNC Deputy Director Shameem Ahmed confirmed the matter. He said: "Acting on a tip-off, our team conducted a drive in the area on Sunday and arrested the Rohingya men." He said the officials suspected the two and interrogated them, at some point of the interrogation the pair confessed about hiding the yaba tablets in their rectum. They were residing at the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, he added. The arrested are Md Illias, 22, son of late Abdus Salam, a resident of Kutupalong refugee camp; and Md Hasan, 35, son of Abul Quasem, a resident of Leda refugee camp in Teknaf. A case has been filed in this connection under the Kotwali police station.
