Sakhawat Hossain Khan, president of Narayanganj Bar Association and plaintiff lawyer of seven murder case, was allegedly threatened to death yesterday.
In the afternoon, Sakhawat brought the allegation to the Bar Association against Khokan Saha, defendant lawyer of the case and local Awami League leader.
Sakhawat said Khokan threatened him around 11am while he was going to the court to deal a case.
On the other hand Khokan Saha denied the allegation and said Sakhawat had brought the allegation to smear his image.
Khokan Saha also filed an allegation against Sakhawat to the Bar Association.
On April 27, 2014, Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam, his three associates and driver, and Narayanganj District Judge’s Court senior lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker and his driver were abducted from Fatullah area in Narayanganj city. Their bodies were later recovered from Shitalakhya River.
