A man was killed by his younger brother at Kotra village in Mahbbatpur area under Begumganj upazila of the district yesterday.
The deceased was Mominullah 52, son of Nurul Haque in the village.
Golam Farooq, officer-in-charge Begumganj Model police station, said Momin Ullah and his brother Habib Ullah got locked in an altercation over a piece of land around 9am.
At one stage, Habib Ullah hit on the head of Momin Ullah leaving him dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Noakhali General Hospital.
A case was filed in this connection.
