3 held for making fake police clearance certificates

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel have arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in making fake police clearance certificates.

Mirza Abdullahel Baqui, special superintendent of CID, said the trio were held in a special drive conducted by CID Inspector Hasanuzzaman in the capital's Shajahanpur Railway Colony early Sunday.

The arrestees are Monir Ahmed, 22, Md Abdul Jobbar, 24, and Md Firoz Alam, 19.

Mirza Abdullahel further said the CID team also recovered 21 fake police clearance certificates, one ambush seal machine, 20 seals of different government high officials, one laptop, one colour printer and other documents from the possession of the arrestees.

A case was filed with Shahjahanpur police station regarding the incident.

CID is trying to trace the other member of the gang, the CID officer added.
