A female student of a private university in Rajshahi has filed a general diary alleging that she got harassed through Facebook.
The GD was filed with Boalia police station on Thursday night.
According to the GD statement, unknown miscreants opened several Facebook accounts using the name, photo and mobile phone number of the victim on February 8.
Later, the criminals started posting offensive material on the timeline of those accounts which tarnished her social image.
Moreover, she received a number of phone calls from unknown numbers after her mobile phone number was made public through those Facebook accounts.
Boalia police station OC Shahadat Hossain said: “We have taken the GD seriously and started our investigation immediately after it was filed.”
