A Dhaka court has put three suspected terrorist on a six-day remand after detective branch of police detained them from the capital’s Shahbagh area on Tuesday night.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbubur Rahman passed the remand order on Wednesday afternoon.
Earlier in the day, sub-Inspector of DB (South) Raisal Islam produced them before the CMM Court with a prayer to grant a 10-day remand.
The arrestees are Raiyan Bin Hey alias Riyu alias Armin, Ahmed Shamsur Rahaman alias killer and Tauhid Bin Ahmed alias Riad alias Kacchi.
Officer-in-Charge of Shahbagh police station Abubakkar Siddique told the Dhaka Tribune that after a tip-off detective branch of police arrested them after their suspected budge on Tuesday evening.
A case was lodged in the police station against the arrestee and seven others under anti terrorism act around 9pm on Tuesday, the OC said.
DB Deputy Commissioner (South) Masrukur Rahaman Khaled said that DB found laptops, Jihadi books and DVDs from their possession.
DB launched further investigation in this connection, he said.
