Robbers snatched away Tk1 lakh from a bKash agent yesterday after shot him in Telipara area under Sreepur upazila of Gazipur.
Sources said Moktadir Elahi, 35, son of Makbul Elahi in the area had been working as sales representative at Emdad and Bothers ltd.
Emdadul Haque, owner of Emdad and Bothers, said criminals shot Moktadir, leaving him critically injured on the Dhaka-Mymensingh Road in Maona intersection in the area while he was coming back after collecting money in MC bazar.
The criminals snatched away a bag with Tk1 lakh from him of Banglalink scratch card.
Locals rescued him in critical condition and sent him to Maona Al Hera Hospital from where he was sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital as his condition deteriorated.
Asaduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Sreepur police station, said police had visited spot.
“We are trying to arrest the criminals,” he said.
