Miscreants have stabbed to death a man and injured three people in Kazipara-Chuadanga bus stand area in the district town.
The murder took place late Tuesday and the corpse of Manik alias Dish Manik, 35, a resident of Kazipara, was sent to Jessore 250-bed General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The injured, namely Ripon, 30, Jahangir, 32, Raihan, 28, were undergoing treatment in the hospital.
When contacted, Raihan said a gang of some unknown hoodlums equipped with lethal weapons started stabbing them indiscriminately around 11pm and left he spot promptly. However, he could not say the reason behind the attack.
The hospital's physician MA Sayed Siddique said Manik died of his injures soon after reaching there, and his body bore injury marks in head, chest and abdomen.
Kotwali police station OC Elias Hossain said they were looking into the incident.
