KM Shahriar Kabir, 78, was allegedly stabbed in the chest by his son Siyadus Salehin.
Kabir’s youngst son Zafar Ali took his father to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for treatment immediately.
Adabor police Officer-in-Charge Sheikh Shahinur Rahman said a police team has been sent to the spot.
The OC said: “I heard a man was stabbed by his son. But nobody has filed a case.
“The victim was taken to Suhrawardy Hospital for initial treatment, but was later moved to DMCH,” he added.
