The police early yesterday arrested a woman with 500 pieces of contraband yaba pills from Shah Amanat Bridge area, Bakalia police station in the port city.
The arrestee is identified as Ayesha Begum, 36, hailed from Teknaf area in Cox’s Bazar.
Priyotosh Das, sub-inspector of Bakalia police station said the woman was arrested from a bus of Unique Service. A case under Narcotics Control Act was lodged against the woman.
