Police have arrested a woman with 500 pieces of contraband yaba pills from Shah Amanat Bridge area under Bakalia police station in the city.
The arrestee was identified as Ayesha Begum, 36 hailed from Teknaf area in Cox’s Bazar.
Priyotosh Das, Sub-Inspector of Bakalia police station said Ayesha was arrested from a bus of Unique Service early Wednesday. A case under Narcotics Control Act was lodged against her.
