A team of Detective Branch of police has arrested a technician of Biman Bangladesh Airlines in a case filed for gold smuggling.
Abdus Sattar was arrested from the capital’s Uttara on Wednesday night, said Sr Assistant Commissioner Manjur Murshed.
He was placed before a Dhaka Court, seeking 10-day remand, said the police official.
On December 23, custom officials held four people with 14-kg of gold. Later, a case was filed in this connection, mentioning the name of Sattar, he added.
