A Habiganj court has set February 29 to start indictment hearing in the explosives case filed over the killing of former finance minister and four others in 2005.
The District and Sessions Judge’s Court of Md Atabullah fixed the date yesterday after accepting the charge sheet filed against 32 persons including former home state minister Lutfozzaman Babar and banned militant group Huji leader Mufti Abdul Hannan.
The explosives case was transferred to the District and Sessions Judge’s Court from the Additional Judicial Magistrate’s Court on October 13 last year.
The murder case is currently under trial at the Sylhet Divisional Speedy Trial Tribunal.
