Police have recovered a body of an Awami League (AL) leader from West Sanarpar in Demra of the capital.
The deceased was identified as Enamul Haq Gias, the general secretary of ward no-8 unit of Sarulia Union Awami League, said victim's brother Humayun Kabir.
Gias, son of late Abdul Mazid, hailed from Brahmanpara of Comilla.
Quoting locals, SI Abdul Quddos of Demra police station, said the body was found lying in a garden of West Sanarpar area on Saturday. On information, Demra police rushed to the spot to recover the body, he added.
