Nur Hossain attends extortion case hearing

Nur Hossain, the prime accused in Narayanganj seven-murder case, appeared in a district court, which heard an extortion case against him yesterday.

From Kashimpur jail in Gazipur, he was taken to the court of Narayanganj Judicial Magistrate Saiduzzaman Sharif in the morning amid tight security.  

Narayanganj court police Inspector Habibur Rahman said Nur had been chargesheeted in the extortion case filed with Siddhirganj police station by Akram Hossain, a local trader.

“Nur was taken back to prison after the hearing ended,” he added.

After Nur’s repatriation from India on November 12, he was shown arrested in 11 cases.
