A schoolgirl in Gazipur’s Sreepur died after unidentified miscreants slit her throat early yesterday.
Naznin Akhter, 7, daughter of Akkas Ali, was a first-grader at Chawkpara Government Primary School. She was attacked at home in Chawkpara area of Mawna union.
Sub-Inspector of Sreepur police station Aminur Rahman said three men identifying themselves as police officials entered the house and forced Naznin out.
“She was sleeping with her grandmother when the attackers got in. They took her out and killed her while locking the grandmother in the room,” he said.
Police sent the body to hospital for autopsy.
