12 arrested for collecting money from DU admission seekers

The Detective Branch (DB) of Police have arrested 12 suspected persons who were allegedly collecting money from the admission seekers for supplying question papers ahead of Dhaka University Ka-Unit admission test scheduled on Friday morning from city's Tejturi Bazar area on Thursday night.

Deputy Commissioner (media) of the DB police Muntasirul Islam said on Friday that "the DB police arrested 12 suspected persons who had been collecting money from the students with an assurance to supply them duplicate question papers ahead of the Dhaka University's Ka-unit admission test."

The Dhaka University Ka-Unit admission test was held at 76 centers including the campus of the university.

 A total of 71,350 candidates appeared at the admission test under Ka-Unit for 1,660 seats on 2015-2016 session.
