Detective Branch (DB) of police have arrested district Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Prof Dr Abul Kashem from Binodpur area in Rajshahi.
Abul was arrested from his residence around 8pm Saturday night.
Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mohammad Shamsuddin said: “The Jamaat leader is being interrogated at DB office. He is prime accused in several sabotage cases and even in the murder case of police constable Shiddharta.”
