The deputy civil surgeon of Sirajganj has received abduction threat from a man who introduced himself as a member of Purba Bangla Communist Party.
Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Md Ashraf Uddin lodged a general diary with Sirajganj sadar police station in this regard on Sunday afternoon.
According to the GD, one Major Zia, introducing himself as a leader of Purba Bangla Communist Party, demanded extortion from Dr Md Ashraf Uddin on his mobile phone at 12:59pm Saturday.
Being refused to get the extortion money, the man threatened him of abduction.
