The daughter-in-law of a former Khulna lawmaker was found dead with a gunshot wound in her own house yesterday.
The 30-year-old woman named Lipi, the daughter-in-law of Khulna 4 ex-MP Mollah Jalal, was found dead in her house near Khulna city’s South Central Road.
Sheikh Moniruzzaman Mithhu, spokesperson for the Khulna Metropolitan Police, said the police were trying to find out how Lipi was shot. The victim’s husband is currently in Mecca, where he went to perform Hajj.
As of filing this report at 10:30pm, the police had the house cordoned off.
