Daughter-in-law of former MP Mollah Jalaluddin of Khulna 4 constituency has been shot dead by miscreants at her South Central Road residence in Khulna city.
The deceased was identified as Lipi, 30.
Khulna Metropolitan Police ADC Sheikh Moniruzzaman Mithu confirmed the death to the Dhaka Tribune.
The incident took place at 8:30pm on Wednesday, said the police official.
On information, police rushed to the spot and started investigation to look into the motive behind the killing, he added.
Lipi’s husband Kamal is now staying in Saudi Arabia. He went there to perform Hajj.
