A Jubo League member was hacked to death in Feni’s Sonagazi upazila on Thursday night.
Gias Uddin, 28, was the son of Abu Hashem of Charchandia village in the upazila.
Police said Gias was attacked in Dighir Par area after an altercation with a local shop owner over payment.
He was taken to Feni Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead around midnight.
Sonagazi Model police station Officer-in-Charge Harun-ur-Rashid said shop owner Safiullah quarreled with Gias and later sent a youth named Rana to call Gias out of the house.
“Gias was taken to Dighir Par area where he was hacked.
“Two persons – Mayeen Uddin and Dolon – have been detained in connection with the killing,” he added.
