Two forest bandits, including the head of the gang known as Alal Bahini, have been gunned down by the police in Shatkhira’s Shyamnagar upazila.
The gang’s chief 49-year-old Alal Gazi alias Alauddin and 30-year-old Saidul were killed when law enforcers opened fire at them around 10pm on Monday near a brick kiln in the Boro Kupot village.
Three police officials – SI Nazmul Hasan, SI Abdul Kader, and Constable Shona Miah – were also injured when they were hit by bricks thrown by the bandits.
