A sixth grader has allegedly been trafficked to India from Talbariya village under Sadar upazila of Jessore.

The victim, Dolly, was allured of good salary for job at a lace shop in Khulna but later allegedly sold to the traffickers.

Now she is forced to prostitution in the city of Mumbai in India, Dolly's father Rezaul Islam said.

On Wednesday, Rezaul Islam filed a case with Kotwali police against three people of the same village for trafficking her daughter.

Second Officer of the police station Mizanur Rahman Mridha confirmed Dhaka Tribune about the filling of the case.

The accused are Swapna Khatun, daughter of Moniruddin, her mother Rahima Beugum, and Selina Khatun, wife of Rafiqul Islam.

According to the case statement, Swapna convinced Dolly to go to Khulna with her for the job on August 2.

Swapna returned home after 15-16 days. When asked about Dolly, she did not say anything particularly about the girl.

Not getting any concrete information about his daughter, Rezaul informed the matter to Nawapara UP Chairman Altaf Hossain.

The chairman asked Swapna to return Dolly to her parents in 15 days.

However, Rezaul received a call from Swapna from an Indian no (+917204395093) when he was told Dolly is doing fine in Mumbai.

Then he wanted to talk to his daughter.

When Dolly was given the phone, she was crying out, telling her father that she was being forced into prostitution.
