A team of Rapid Action Batalian (RAB-1) has held a youth along with 1950 peices of Yaba tablets from a restaurant at College gate area of Tongi in Gazipur city.
He was identified as Gani Miah, 29, son of Jafar Alam, of Boro Habib para area under Teknaf upazila in Cox Bazar district.
RAB-1 sources said on secret information, a team of RAB 1 led by assistant police super Azmila Nasrin Chowdhury conducted a raid at the new Kolmilota restaurant of Badar Mansion at college gate area of Tongi on Saturday evening and detained Gani with 1950 pieces of Yaba tablets while he was selling to a client.
Officer-in-charge of Tongi police station Mohammed Ali said Gani was handed over to the police station on Sunday morning. A case was filed in this connection with Tongi police station.
